As part of the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs’ “Program for Nurturing Upcoming Artists Who Lead the Next Generation” for the fiscal year of 2014, the Museum and Archives of the Kyoto Institute of Technology implemented a project to support up-and-coming artists through the use of university art galleries. The exhibition was held in partnership with Kyoto University of Art and Design’s ARTZONE and Kyoto City University of Arts Art Gallery @KCUA with the support of the University Museum Association of Kyoto, a network of 15 university art museums and galleries in the city. Conversations between the participating artists and the curators from each gallery were also held during the exhibition.
