Hidekazu Tanaka (b. 1979) and Kaori Kurosaki (b. 1987) were the two artists invited to participate in the “Artists @ Horikawa” program, presented by KCUA’s Career Design Center and @KCUA from August 1 to October 25, 2014. The solo exhibitions by these artists were held to show the work that was made in the framework of the program, in which Tanaka and Kurosaki shared the same studio. The artists are both very particular about their processes and methodologies for painting, but stylistically they are very different from one another. The exhibitions showcased the new developments in each artist’s work resulting from their interaction in the studio and from sharing their creative process with the public.
