“Moving Terrace” Construction Workshop

KCUA students will be building a “moving terrace” under the instruction of Jo Nagasaka (exhibition design, Still Moving – On the Terrace).

Wood Carving Workshop: Mini Yojo-kun
Saturday, April 30, 3:00 PM
Yojo means “curing” or “nursing” in Japanese. In this workshop, you will be making a small wooden doll for your yojo. Make sure to be dressed for woodworking.

Meet at Kyoto City University of Arts and walk to Gallery @KCUA
Participants will transport packed-up equipment from the university to Gallery @KCUA on foot while listening to stories told by KCUA instructors about their days as students and stopping by places on the way that are memorable to them in some way.

A sound installation/event using the exhibition space featuring guest performer Masamitsu Araki (www.araki-masamitsu-paramiz.com), with background music by “Flow and Stock” team member Kazumichi Komatsu (Madegg kazumichi-komastu.tumblr.com).
